Terrific coffee prepared in the lobby. Comfortable seating inside and outdoors near the pool. Enjoyed breakfast at The Canteen Bar & Grill located across the driveway on the Cavalry Court property. Custom omelette and hash browns were excellent. Canteen offers Katz' Coffee. The decor at The George is upscale. There is a boutique opposite the Front Desk stocked with quality items for men and women. Likes the western boots custom made for Pres. George H. W. Bush encased at the Front Desk. The big highlight is the Lobby's art installation of the Texas flag made from books and dedicated to First Lady Barbara Bush in honor of her efforts on literacy. Excellent valet parking provided by Maroon City Valet. Hotel is centrally located near several dining options and even a Morgan Stanley wealth management office. Swimming pool is less than 4' deep, so really for wading in with your beverage and friends. Upscale gym located on my floor (3rd) with treadmills, ellipticals, weights.

As a first-time (far) away from home, The Geroge was the perfect stop to settle in and get to know the city of College Station and attend the first week of graduate school. It is located in Century Square which has a lot of good restaurants, coffee shops, and retail stores. Initially, I planned to stay for two nights, but I ended up extending for about two weeks for multiple reasons. One of which is that I loved the lounge atmosphere and how friendly the staff was, especially Hope at the front desk. She was very welcoming and supportive of my transition to the US, and always walked the extra mile to make sure my stay was comfortable. At The George, I met a lot of interesting people whom I made friends with and enjoyed a lot of passing conversations with strangers. Now that I moved across the street into my new apartment, I still plan to spend my mornings in The Geroge lounge from time to time where I'll be meeting w/ friends and perhaps meet new ones.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, blending modern comfort with country charm. The rooms were great, with nice bedding and all the amenities we could ask for. The location was perfect — close to restaurants, shops, and the university, making everything super convenient. The elegant décor and unique touches throughout the hotel added to the overall fantastic experience. I highly recommend staying here! The hotel's bar was great too!

We did not eat breakfast there. We did, however, eat dinner at Porter’s. The staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. One steak came out overcooked and Brussel sprouts were barely warm. Both were remedied and one steak was competed. We were also given a piece of complementary piece of cheesecake that was delicious for an anniversary celebration. I would say the kitchen staff needs some work.

The hotel was very nice. It's a sister property of Calvary Court where I have stayed before. This is a completely different feel, and they are both comfortable and, in my opinion, some of the nicest in College Station. The bar area was a fun way to relax. There are several good restaurants in the same parking lot, so it's great to have good dining options within walking distance.
